Codex App

Codex App is a desktop chat client that provides a user-friendly graphical interface for local LLM completion endpoints.

1. Setting Up​

  1. Download and run the Codex App installer bundle for your operating system.
  2. Launch the desktop application.
  3. Open settings and select GoingMerry as your backend provider type.
  4. Input the base address connection settings: 
    http://localhost:11434
  5. Save configuration settings.

2. Using the Desktop Interface​

Once configured, the interface will query available models via GET /api/tags and populate the model dropdown select boundary. Select your model (e.g. gemma4 or llama4) to start chatting locally.
